Amazon partners with AT & T, price drop on ad-supported Kindle

Amazon lowered the price of its Kindle 3 G Wednesday, after an agreement reach Kindle with AT & T sponsors 3 g in exchange for advertising space, dropping the price for the e-reader to $139. The fall in prices comes shortly after Amazon's announcement that the Kindle 3 G with special offer map it for $164 would sell.
No updates for the e-reader physically included Wednesday's announcement, but customers are expected to replace AT & T ads the Kindle of usual screensaver and map at the bottom of pages see presented.
An unsponsored Kindle 3 G is $189.
"This is a Stifel Nicolaus analyst who believes that the new partnership with AT & T will be profitable for Amazon an obvious strategy to provide for the masses at an affordable price Kindle accordingly."
If the Kindle was a pacesetter in the e-reader market, Barnes & noble nook is a growing threat and the Tablet market is a popular alternative for many consumers with options like the Apple iPad and a number of devices running on Google Android operating system.
Shares of Amazon were up 1% to $213.50 Wednesday. Since the beginning of the year which was up 19%.
